Hi, I can't seem to understand how to get the ShareNNTP plugin to work. Is there any kind of english translated manual or help on the net?
I have a ISO file almost fully downloaded but I'm missing prolly 2 or 3 pieces right smack in the middle. When I convert the file anyways it only coverts up to those missing pieces and stops... is it possible to make it skip those pieces and have it convert the remaining good pieces after that?

hey i just started using share and had 2 downloads going pretty fast when last i checked my nodes now can't seem to find a share node and my task tab is empty. on top of that when i search it doesn't do anything. im getting mainly search, test, and check nodes, anyone know wuts goin on?
lol well i can search now just after i posted (it took a day tho), but still wondering if u dont hav a share node is that like the node u wer dling from and it means the user if offline?
does adding like 10 words in a single cluster work? or do i have to limit each cluster to one word?
Because if one of those ten words is not in a node, then you will get no results... even if the other 9 words ARE there (and they won't be)
I don't know if Share does "substring matching" when checking for cluster words (in other words: "DVD ISO DVDRIP" is the same cluseter as "DVDISO", because it contains "DVD" and "ISO").
Most likely it does not, so it's a bad idea to do that (you will end with isolated/wasted clusters). However, i've seen that lots of people love to create clusters with lots of words instead of a single word, so i might be wrong on this one...
Experiment with it, but i recommend anyway to stay with one word (name) per cluster.
In the download screen and under status it used to show the chunks I was downloading in blue above the grey but now all I get is the grey and nothing moves. Is there anyway I can get that view back?

Tried a couple of files and haven't got one to work yet. Have a file missing one block near the beginning. :(
This "bug" seems to be harmless, and should not affect the tool (I also get that log line in each Share boot, but CacheDump works fine for me).
For use CacheDump, go to a query, locate the desired file, and right-click it, then select "CacheDump". The rest is straightforward..
My ISP is limiting share download speed (traffic shapping) i cant download more than 20kb/s PLEASE HELP!!!!

strange , share is consider unknown in p2p world. are you sure it's not your setting?
i really doubt that your ISP limit your share download speed. i will bet that they never even heard of share at all.
share community is so small that it fall out from p2p watch list
My ISP (Cantv.net, Venezuela) also started recently to cap my upload too :( Just dropped from rock-solid 50KB/s to unstable 10KB/s (Share barely works with that).
Remember, P2P is the biggest enemy of ISPs today, don't matter what program do you use, or which files do you download (legal or not).
Inside Japan, Share is at the tail of the top-10 most used P2P apps. Outside there, it's almost unknown...
some friends with the same isp report the same speed problem, indeed is traffic shapping :(
my ISP does that on BT connection but share work fine (my guess is because share encrypt the data) .
if it really happen ,that mean your ISP probably only allow HTTP/https,FTP protocol and caps all others type of protocol . that is pretty dare action done by your ISP.
you should try run others to see whether my guessing is correct or not .
Probably a noob question, but it will only download/upload when I click the "connect" button on nodes ... which then immediately disconnects after 20-30 seconds. (I don't wanna have to click "connect" a billion times).

I'm haveing problem with my share ex2, keep getting deleted unused cache file on my log and init fail on my download tab.
Your database may be corrupt. This can happen if you close Share as soon as you open it (while it's loading the database), OR, in extreme cases, you may be experiencing harddrive failures.
Can you post your log here?

i just added the cachedump yestarday thinking it my resolve my problem.

Anyone can tell me what happen to my share?
It worked like 2 weeks ago perfectly. But now, i update my node list and get on, my upload and download isn't moving, there is no change in port. Nodelist keep connect and test servers and eventually after 4-5 min it stop completely. No errors on log too.

Once you load the plugin, go to any query, right-click the file that you wish to preview, and select CacheDump. Then, the rest is self-explainatory. (HINT: uncheck "Skip empty blocks")

NO! Use triggers, that's the best that you can do. However, on the queries, you can check the date of when a specific file was launched to the network.

That's normal! Share will add the nodes anyway. Simply close the window, and you're done.
I have noticed Perfect Dark has become faster than it used to be.
when i click on connect after configuring this, i get nothing. no error message, nada! it just does nothing. what happened? thanks.

not sure. some videos. downloaded 10 and only 1 worked
the caches were downloaded, and "converted", but when i mouse over the download folder, it says empty and when i right clicked the files, it shows only 5~6 options, without copy, move all those. and when i double click it, nothing comes out.
Seems that the files are corrupt... can you see the file size on the videos? Is there enough free Disk Space on your HD? Did you check the Share Log?

can someone explain exactly wut the cash is. i mean i know i need it to download and upload right? but mines just getting huge, like 30 gigs, and wuts the difference on the status tab where if u hide cash it's grey but show cash shows it almost all blue but the number is still like 0/3000
