How does one clean-up the cache when full? I am running PD and managed to fill-up the 20Gb Cache. Now what? Got PD's error message and dowloading slowed to a crawl (as expected). However, of all the options, right-clik menus, etc. I can't find one that will allow me to selectively delete downloaded files from the cache (as it was possible in Share). PD does not automatically re-cycle the cache (i.e. it does not erase downloaded files from it). Any ideas?
Just go to your unity folder and delete some big files.. or delete the entire folder content.. though that'll reset some search results and settings since it keeps info in that folder also..
Yeah... I know I can do that. I am trying to avoid the brute-force approach. Besides, there are a nubmer of files half-downloaded and if I nuke part or the entire cache directory I will loose those chunks. Any other suggestion? Is a selective cache erase by file function implemented, does anybody know?
I also now have a full cache of stuff with other downloads on the way, but I don't see any other option other then to just mass delete everything in the cache and be done with it. :/
shame what u get with that stupid fucking shit software just create a jtorrent server ffs
What the hell is jtorrent? Do you perhaps mean normal torrents? If so, you can't get everything from torrents. Most of the files I want aren't available on torrents, but are available on the Japanese P2P networks. Which is why I use share.
UH, pd does an auto cache cleanup when the cache hits the quota
it will delete anything that has already been downloaded, or is not in the DL queue.
just set your cache to a reasonable size (mines 50gb) and let PD manage it for you. basically, if you are complaining about hard disk space at this point, you need to fucking upgrade you cheap fuck.
Nope... PD is FORCING 94 Gb MIN!!! Cache??? What the hell???
What a shitty program.

stop downloading so much gay shit then
yKDHRQGH = NCOTHO (nob cheese of the highest order)
As far as I can tell, PD demands at least 40 GB cache instead of 20.
So I'd also like to know how to clean the cache besides deleting the entire Unityyyyyyyy folder.
Bloat? Check.
Proprietary shit? Check.
Security through obscurity? Check.
Fuck you, dumb japanese users, for using crap like that. You're no better than your gay asshole developers.
>> Bloat? Check.
O RLY? Evidence, please... PD is quite light over here, even on an ancient P4 box.
>> Proprietary shit? Check.
Damn FOSS lovers... What you will with the code if you had it? Even on FOSS stuff, source code is mostly useless for almost all users, save developers, hackers, and the ocassional user that require to do some obscure patching to get the piece of shit to work.
>> Security through obscurity? Check.
I agree on this. Security through obscurity is a pile of crap, and will ALWAYS be broken with some effort.
>> Fuck you, dumb japanese users, for using crap like that. You're no better than your gay asshole developers.
If you think that, TAKE THE FUCKIN' COMPILER AND CODE THE PERFECT P2P SOLUTION! Absolute stealth, avoiding throttling/traffic shaping... Better yet, shut down your computer and go to bed, because the Internet is not for you (the 'net was developed by some gay asshole developers and dumb japanase researches)
I love to feed trolls... B)
