I was having some problems getting PD working, I always got the port error message.
I brought out strace and traced some of the network system calls. My discovery: Binding a port in IPv6 mode causes further binding attempts with IPv4 on the same port to fail.
Solution: Disable IPv6.
I disabled IPv6 by adding ``alias net-pf-10 off'' to my /etc/modprobe.conf.
Not a very nice solution though, I like having IPv6 active. This solution might apply to Windows as well.
That's awsome man!
I keep getting the same result every time.
I tried searching for my modprobe.conf file, but couldn't find
it under /etc.
I'm under Ubuntu 7.04, any thoughts?
Thanks.
I submitted a patch to Wine, so this'll be fixed in the next release (0.9.46).
If modprobe.conf doesn't exist -- try creating it? Otherwise, try searching for it find /etc -name modprobe.conf'', or searching for files with similar contents grep -R alias\ /etc''.
Could it be posible to add an IPRule to make this work?
Just a thought, but thanks for the good patch :D
