i just setup perfect dark and its connected perfectly but all of my downlods stay at 0 % but i am able to find files but not download =((( help
I have the same problem, but will elaborate:
Setup should be correct (untiy = 40GB, Upload = 100 kB/s) and PD uses about 15kB/s up and down, sometimes 50kB/s. 250MB have been transferred through my node until now. Someone said that downloading won't happen until unity is filled, but at the moment it's only 16MB large.
I noticed that the entries under "Download" get a red background. They are rel. recent and have a high rating. The red background turns to black again, when I do right-click -> 2nd option option on them (the preview?).
Any thoughts/explanations?
You need to add 2g of files to the upload section before it will allow you to begin downloading.
You CANNOT use Perfect Dark unless you commit to having 2g of files shared.
That's incorrect. You need 2gb of cache, not new files.
How do I get the 2gb of cache?
Either share some delicious files (anything that you have downloaded with Share/Winny is perfect, a single DVD ISO or a complete series will do the job), or WAIT, WAIT, and WAIT.
Is there any way some one could wrap up 2 gigs of cache in a zip, and rapidshare (Or whatever) it? I know this would be a pain, but it'd be so helpful.
cache files are dished out automatically by the network, you just need to leave it running overnight. No one is going to provide you with 2GB of "cache", which is quite silly to ask for.
Just find something to download, queue it and WAIT, as stated above.
Leave the client running for a night and it'll go.
