What do they both do? It seems like they do the same thing...

The both do just nothing and also don´t appear in the task manager. It´s especially about PD 1.01 (same problem with older version), I don´t want to use Winny (was just a test), just PD.

A CLUSTER is a group of users sharing files about certain topic: it can be a generic topic (like anime), or more specific things (like any music band).

A TRIGGER is like an agent that looks for stuff that you want. You can set a trigger for anything: from gathering info about files available from some topic (from posters to DVDISOs), to automatically finding and downloading an exact file (let's say that you know the hash and name of a file: you simply set a trigger for it, and Share will try to download it. No need to search for it!)

As you can see, CLUSTERs and TRIGGERs are NOT the same thing ;)

what's the use of a query then?

A query allows you to see the files available on the network: either those random results floating around, or those files whose info has been gathered in your database by using a trigger. The normal procedure then is that after setting a trigger, you open a query for see how many files have been found in the nodes, and since these results are saved in your database, you will never lose'em (unless you screw up your Share setup).

In other words: Triggers + Queries = Downloads.
