Perfect dark on wine can't connect + general question (5)

I have gotten Perfect Dark working perfectly on wine, but I can't seem to get online.

My status is: "Perfect Dark Online, open Port not Confirmed"

Is there anything specific I need to do.

Also, in terms of files, will I have find the same files that are on share and winny on perfect dark. Or does winny have more files/users than either share or perfect dark?

I have a slightly different question for the community in general. My Share used to work just perfectly fine until a short time after I switched the AT&T U-Verse. After that my Share would start calling up some nodes, drop some, bring up others for about half a minute and then the screen goes blank and my "Connect" button becomes unchecked.

I have a suspicious feeling that it's AT&T that's somehow messing up my Share traffic; torrent works fine though. I also have Perfect Dark and I can search for results but I can't seem to download. I also have some uploads going and they all suddenly don't work anymore either.

PD works fine here under Wine (0.9.56). Your PD is working OK, you should wait a bit until it goes "fully" online. If it does not connect properly, check your firewall, router, and ISP, or download fresh nodes and try again.

Share dropping connections after switching ISPs? Your new ISP is pure crap then. Mine (CANTV.net, Venezuela) just started capping my upload from 512K to 128K, so i can barely use Share now. Uunfortunately, as long as ISPs exist on this planet, this will suck.

Remember that Perfect Dark is a network in development. You will not find too much files for now (compared to Share, which in turn has LESS users than Winny), and downloads WILL take a loooong time to complete, but once more people start using it and contributing to the network, it will grow. I hope that it will kick Share's ass in 2-3 years ;)
